“Described by Sir Andrew MacFarlane as ‘one of those ideas which is so good you wonder why we hadn’t thought of it sooner’ FLANC has picked up its second award in as many months.

Family Advice for the Neurodivergent Community (FLANC)  was awarded the Family Law Innovation of the Year award at the Family Law Awards 2024 having received the award for Innovation Champion 2024 at the Resolution awards earlier in the year.

FLANC is a wonderful example of the family law community coming together to make a difference. Beck Fitzgerald director Jenny Beck KC (Hon) and joint Heads of the Care Department Flora Hughes and Jasmine Hollis are co- founders alongside Alia Lewis, Fauza Mumani, Sheena Vadher from Duncan Lewis and Caroline Croft from Coram Chambers. The initiative seeks changes to the Family Justice System to better support neurodiverse children and families.

Members of FLANC are grateful for the recognition, which will help them on their mission to create a more inclusive Family Justice System.

Sir Andrew McFarlane said:

“Very many congratulations to FLANC on winning the Innovation award at the FL Awards. This is a major achievement for an organisation that is so young and new. FLANC has really put its flag into the map in a significant way. Well Done!”
