About Farhana

Farhana is an experienced family lawyer and mediator practising for over 20 years. She specialises in all aspects of family law with particular expertise in divorce/separation, complex matrimonial finance, cohabitee issues and arrangements concerning children.  She is on the Law Society Family Law Panel and is a Resolution accredited specialist in both financial and children matters.

Farhana has been ranked in Legal 500 for a number of years and was voted onto Resolution’s National Committee in view of her commitment to family law. She has authored a number of articles for legal journals and is co-editor for Resolution’s spousal maintenance handbook. Farhana has a particular interest in achieving fair shares and founded the Family law Menopause Project in order to ensure those in the midst of peri/menopause are provided with the support necessary to achieve a fair settlement.

Farhana has worked with a broad range of clients over the years including business owners, professionals and doctors who value her strategic and pragmatic approach that often leads to early settlement. She is a trained collaborative lawyer and mediator and will always assess whether matters can be resolved amicably and effectively at an early stage. She recognises the importance of problem solving rather than point scoring.
